About Us

OUR MISSION

Project Hope Ukraine is an initiative to help Ukranians with having a resource to reach out to when thinking about migrating out of the war zone and here to the United States of America. We feel terrible about the unnecessary force Russia is using to muscle their way into Ukraine. We want to do whatever we can to help. We believe the most effective manner of achieving these goals is by working with established organizations in local communities, including orphanages and local churches that are actively involved in providing immediate assistance.

On an annual basis volunteer groups comprised of individuals from United States, Canada, and other countries travel to Ukraine to assist local organizations in helping these less fortunate children and families by helping in any way we can.

We also work closely with local missionaries in Ukraine spreading the good news of the Gospel and offer services in helping Ukrainians migrate out of the war zone. Many small villages in Ukraine are stricken by poverty. As a result, families are broken and looking for a better life. Through collaborative efforts with local missionaries, we are able to reach these people and offer them hope for a better life.

WHAT WE DO

Project Hope Ukraine started out as a collaborative effort among youths at several Ukrainian churches in the US, with the goal of assisting orphans living in Ukraine. Over the last 5 years Project Hope Ukraine has provided financial support to orphanages, adoption families and local churches who work with troubled youth in Ukraine. Multiple summer camp programs have been organized to work in orphanages to show these neglected kids that someone cares for them. We continue to work with our partners in Ukraine to assist children in need by providing them financial, emotional and spiritual support. We have now morphed into our own mission of helping those families who feel it is critical to migrate out of their homeland and into a better life.

Why Ukraine?

As a third world country, Ukraine has been struggling since its independence from the USSR in 1991. Approximately 35% of the population lives below the poverty line. With financial hardships many people become depressed and turn for solace. And now with the Russian invasion causing unnecessary violence, finding comfort for these people is our number one priority. Many children are abandoned by their parents and are forced to live in orphanages, or on the streets. Many of these kids pick up the habits of their parents and begin on a downward spiral. According to the World Health Organization, Ukraine is number one in Europe in alcohol consumption among kids – 98% of teenagers below 15 years old consume alcohol. PHU is committed to changing the lives of these families by showing them love and compassion and leading them to a better life by example. Our forums are a great starting point for those families to reach out and get in touch with someone who cares and is willing to help. Our social media channel is also very integral, as most of these families only way to communicate is through those channels.
